Controversial Ghanaian televangelist Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, has once again sparked conversations on social media after showing off a new luxury vehicle shortly after her release from prison.
Agradaa, who leads the Heaven Way Champion International Ministry, was seen in a viral video arriving at her church premises in a newly acquired white luxury SUV. The vehicle quickly attracted attention from supporters and curious onlookers who had gathered to welcome her back.
The car reportedly features a customized number plate with the inscription “AGRADAA 1,” making it easily identifiable. Images circulating online also show a photo of the evangelist displayed on the rear glass of the vehicle, adding a personalized touch to the luxury car.
In the widely shared video, the car is parked inside the church compound while several people surround it, admiring the vehicle and capturing photos. The moment created excitement among some of her followers, many of whom appeared eager to celebrate her return.
The development comes shortly after Agradaa regained her freedom following a court decision that reduced her earlier prison sentence.
In July 2025, an Accra Circuit Court sentenced the outspoken evangelist to 15 years in prison after she was found guilty on charges including defrauding by false pretences and charlatanic advertisement. The charges were linked to a controversial church program in 2022 in which she allegedly promised congregants that their money would be spiritually doubled.
According to court documents, several individuals attended the event and handed over various sums of money in hopes of receiving financial breakthroughs through the supposed spiritual intervention.
However, Agradaa later challenged the ruling through an appeal. The Amasaman High Court subsequently reviewed the case and reduced the original sentence, describing the earlier punishment as excessive. The court replaced the 15-year term with a 12-month sentence and also imposed fines while directing that compensation be paid to some of the complainants.
Following the court’s decision, the evangelist was released from the Nsawam Female Prison in early March 2026.
Since regaining her freedom, Agradaa has been seen reconnecting with family members, church members, and supporters. Several videos circulating on social media show emotional moments as followers welcomed her back and celebrated her return to public life.
Her latest public appearance with the new luxury vehicle has, however, triggered mixed reactions among Ghanaians online. While some supporters congratulated her and praised her resilience, others questioned the timing of the display, considering the circumstances surrounding her recent legal troubles.
Despite the divided opinions, Nana Agradaa remains a prominent and controversial figure in Ghana’s religious and social media space. Over the years, she has built a reputation for making headlines through her outspoken personality and dramatic public appearances.
The latest episode involving the new luxury car has once again placed her in the spotlight, reigniting debates across social media platforms about her influence, lifestyle, and role within Ghana’s religious landscape.
