The Ghana Police Service has officially declared actress and entrepreneur Patricia Osei Boateng wanted in connection with investigations into the notorious Duku robbery gang, a criminal syndicate linked to a series of violent armed robberies in parts of the Ashanti Region.
According to police sources, Boateng is alleged to have connections to the gang’s operations, although authorities have not publicly disclosed the full details of her involvement. Her name emerged during ongoing investigations following the arrest of several suspected members of the Duku syndicate.
The Duku gang has been under intense police scrutiny for its alleged role in multiple armed robbery attacks, vehicle thefts, and violent crimes, including incidents that reportedly led to loss of life. Security agencies say the group specialised in tracking victims before carrying out coordinated attacks, targeting vehicles and valuable property.
Recent police operations led to the arrest of key suspects believed to be part of the gang, along with the recovery of weapons, ammunition, vehicles, and other items suspected to be linked to criminal activities. These developments formed part of a broader intelligence-led operation aimed at dismantling organised robbery networks operating in the region.
Following these arrests, investigations expanded, leading to the identification of additional individuals allegedly connected to the syndicate. Patricia Osei Boateng was subsequently named as a person of interest and later declared wanted by police as part of efforts to fully dismantle the network.
The police have appealed to the public to assist in locating the actress, urging anyone with credible information about her whereabouts to contact the nearest police station or security agency. Authorities emphasised that public cooperation is critical in tackling organised crime and ensuring community safety.
The case has sparked widespread public discussion, especially due to Boateng’s profile as a known figure in the entertainment industry. Law enforcement agencies, however, maintain that the investigation is being handled professionally and that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
The Ghana Police Service has reiterated its commitment to combating armed robbery and organised crime, assuring the public that all individuals found to be involved in criminal networks will be dealt with according to the law.
Investigations into the Duku robbery gang remain ongoing, and police say further arrests and developments are expected as efforts continue to fully dismantle the syndicate and bring all suspects to justice.
